Faith Like a Child

Femi truly amazed me this evening. We were at CVS with Deji and all of a sudden my head started hurting and must have made a sound because he asked me what was wrong. When I told him that my head hurt he said he could make me feel better and he placed his hand on my head and prayed for me. Here is what he prayed "Jesus please help mommy's head feel better, Amen" very simple and child like. My heart just swelled up. I must be doing something right, actually I am not doing anything, it is all God.

"He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me." Matthew 18:2-5

I have been praying lately that I can hear God's voice loud and clear, there are some big prayers that I have that I am seeking prayer for and I want to make sure that I do what God tells me to do and not what I think I should do. After this evening I feel like God is talking to me loud and clear and telling one big thing.
I need to invest more time building Femi's faith. He is really interested in his bible after seeing me in my quite time with God and asked what I was doing. We have also been talking more about having Jesus in his heart after watching a couple of kids get baptized at church and me explaining to him the reason they were "taking a bath at church
" was because they have Jesus in their heart and they wanted the world to know.

Day with Deji

I had an unexpected day off with Deji. Cradle to Crayons called me at school saying that Deji has pink eye, but when I picked him up his eyes were clear! This is the second time that they have done this to me. I was upset because it meant taking a dock day, but it is a beautiful spring day, so Deji and I had a great time together we went to a garage sale and bought a couple of outfits for Adara and a Dora phone for him. We then went to penguin park and played for a while. After playing we had a picnic lunch outside. We laid around and read some books, then it was time for a nap. I am glad I got to spend a little one on one time with him. I think he needed it.

Here I am trying to capture the moment. I need one of those cameras you can flip around to see your shot.

We played a little game of hide and seek after eating.

Catch up time

So I let time lapse again. Oh well. Life with two boys and a little lady is a little hectic and busy and add to it teaching middle school kids! A lot has happened in a month ( the last time I wrote), I will try to summarize the events as much as I can.

Naiya came down for a quick visit from Ohio. She has been there since January and it was wonderful to see her after all this time. She came with us to the farm to celebrate Easter with the Nilsons and the Coxs. Unfortunately she was sick for most of the weekend.

Femi started T-ball a week ago and loves it. He is learning how to throw and hit. His favorite activity is still picking flowers in the fields.

Little Adara in now seven months old, and boy is she on the move. She is crawling all over the place and getting into things she shouldn't be in. She can pull herself up and says mama when she wants something. At least she said mama before dada.
