Six Month Old Diva

Little Adara is growing so fast! She turned six months old on the 24th.
My 32nd birthday.

She is absolutely amazing and definitely getting a personality all of her own. Here are six things about miss Adara.
1. She is not sleeping through the night. She did give me a birthday present by sleeping from 10pm until 5:15am. I felt like a whole new woman, but it didn't last for too long. We are working on the sleep issue.

2. She seems to have put herself on a diet. She is only taking about 3oz a feeding. The other day she only had a total of 10oz. She doesn't like cereal or solids very much. She is very good at not opening her mouth for food. I think if she ate more, she would sleep better.

3. She is becoming more and more opinionated. If you take something away from her that she wants, she will scream at you. You can try to distract her, but she is not easily distracted.

4. She is trying very hard to crawl. She can get on all fours with no problems and has actually taken a couple of "steps". She should be in a full crawl mode in a few weeks.

5. She is finally in her own room. She is still trying to get use to being in her crib, but I think she likes it. Her room is still a semi storage room, but I hope to clear it out soon.

6. We are so blessed to have the cute little darling in our lives. She gets more beautiful each and every day. Her brothers love and adore her and she has her daddy's heart.

Spring Break Trip to the Farm

We finally made it to the farm! Femi has been asking and asking to go. The trip was a little delayed because we had to make up two snow days at the start of Spring Break, but we managed to go and have fun. Femi didn't even wait until we were on the farm to shed his city boy manners. He had to pee and couldn't hold, so we had to do what we had to do. The picture says it all.
Once on the farm we saw Paw Paw at the office and then went to see Grandma. Indoor activities didn't last too long, the boys were eager to be outside playing with the kittens and tractors.
Paw Paw came and got the boys to help feed the cattle. I have a couple of farm boys on my hands. Both Deji and Femi loved it.

Riding to feed the cows. You couldn't get away with an unrestrained kid in the city.

Watching very closely how it is done.

Busy boys! They were working hard.

Maybe the will farm for Paw Paw together when they are older.

We then went to Hesston to spend some time with the cousins and celebrate March birthdays.

Adara having a cuddle time with uncle Rick.

Deji really wanted to fish and catch something.
I can't wait for summer when we get to spend more time on the farm!

10:10 March 2011

Once again I have fallen behind on my blogging. It has been really busy at work. I am very very very very ready for Spring Break! Little Dara turned five months old a couple of weeks ago. She is growing so fast! She is sitting up by her self longer. She is trying to crawl. She will get on all fours and just rock back and forth. We are still working on sleeping through the night. Hopefully soon. Even though it has been busy I have been trying to find time to be crafty. I made a ribbon board for my friend's Collette's baby shower and another friend saw it and commissioned me to make one for her daughter. I had a lot of fun making them and I also started to make so felt flowers. Maybe I will become a craft lady when I grow up.
